About Me

Rebekah Gillian was created in 2015 as a way for me to share my interests and hobbies with friends and family.

I was also looking for a way to continue writing regularly after finishing high school and not having English lessons to keep my nonfiction writing on track. Blogging was something I had been considering for a few years anyway, so it seemed like the perfect answer.

Since creating this blog, I have grown a lot as a person, and there have been a lot of changes in my life. In September 2015, I was diagnosed with autism, a condition which I write about regularly on my blog now. I like to raise awareness of my disability, as well as challenge the views people have about others who live with life-long disabilities.

Of course, I am still an eighteen-year-old with interests not dissimilar to other teenagers, and therefore my blog posts do not completely revolve around my disability. The light-hearted blog posts are still a regular feature on my blog, so don’t be turned off if serious posts aren’t necessarily for you. In fact, I blogged so infrequently when I first started that I probably write more light-hearted blog posts now than I did in the whole of my first year!

Lifestyle blogs are always awesome; you can basically talk about whatever is on your mind…which means VARIETY (yay, score) hahaha… Well, can’t wait to check out some of your posts, and for the future, good luck with your blog and everything in between :).

Yeah, that’s what I enjoy about them. I predominantly blog about my disability, but sometimes, I want to post about something a little more lighthearted, so it’s great for that!
Thank you; I hope you enjoy my blog!

Rebekah, I recommend you post a link to this blog on your wordpress blog so your wordpress followers (and people who have bookmarked that site) can follow you here.
I’m about to update your blog’s URL on our Actually Autistic Blogs List (anautismobserver.wordpress.com). Please click on the “How do you want your blog listed?” link at the top of that site if you want to change your blog’s description.
    Thank you.

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ve made the appropriate changes to my old blog and hope that helps to avoid confusion with others in the future.
Thank you also for updating my information on your website!
